Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs (SNAP) Employment and Training Services

Objective of the SNAP Employment and Training program is to help individuals receiving only food support transition from public assistance to self-sufficiency by preparing for and obtaining paid employment.

MRCI County Employment Services is under contract with Blue Earth and Steele
counties as the provider of the SNAP Employment and Training program. To be
eligible for this program and the services it offers the person must be receiving SNAP benefits. There are two ways to access these services. A person may simply call the number below or ask their Financial Worker in the Human Services Office in their county of residence (Blue Earth or Steele County) to refer them.

 

Services provided include assessment, employment plan development, on-going monitoring of job search activities and employment plan, job retention services and more. (See Core Services)
